Noranda-ECU Football Club is the culmination of a merger between the Noranda Hawks and ECU Football Club.
The club will this year field League, Reserves and Colts in the Western
Australian Amateur Football League for the first time and will be striving for
success in all competitions.
The Noranda Hawks are an established club who have been
around for 25 years and in that time have produced numerous AFL players like
Greg Broughton,
Michael Prior, Clancee Pearce and Alex Rance. Previously based at Robert Thompson Reserve, the club has moved
to Lightning Park to provide first class facilities for it's ever expanding
player base.
ECU Football Club has played in the Mercantile Football
Association since 2004 and was previously based at Robertson Reserve.
The club decided at the end of season 2007 to merge with the Noranda Hawks to
provide a senior side for the junior football club.
